I must admit, I was really upset about what Som Ock did the first time
someone post about this royal status. The first few posts I expressed
negatively about his activities and his royal status, but after I
re-thought it was a good idea for him to educate Lao people in Isan
about Chao Anouvong. He might had gotten some encouragement, or heart
to walked this path from history book. I wish it didn't end this way
since there're still many Lao people in that region still confuse about
their true history. To be honest, he was really brave to walk along the
line that Chao Anouvong did 200 years ago. I don't wanna go visit Isan
region, nor Thailand for that matter. After 200 years, Tai Lao and
Siamese are still not at peace and Lao in the west bank of the river
are stilling being Khee Kha to the Siamese. Lao people should never
trust those people on the west bank of the river even if they speak
Lao. Som Ock had sacrificed his life to test our Lao consciousness on
the west bank, and obviously those Khee Kha are still in their sleep.
May both of you rest in peace.
