Norwegian rapes and betrayal of liberalism

The women in Oslo, the capital of Norway, are facing a twin danger.
One is skyrocketing rapes by Muslim immigrants who believe that a
woman who wears nice clothing is asking to get raped and who take full
advantage of that belief. The other is gutless politically correct
academics who claim that the way to stop these rapes is for the women
to stop wearking nice clothes.
To both of these, the correct response is: Bug off.
Social freedom and sexual freedom is one of the greatest
accomplishments of Liberalism. But when Liberalism morphed into
political correctness, it is precisely these accomplishments that not
only lost their defenders but in fact saw their original leaders turn
into oppressors. To believe that nobody should do anything that can
offend anyone else, is to cater to the most controlling, most abusive,
most barbaric element in society, that would claim any freedom as
being offensive to it - and which, by adopting this standard, the
politically correct allow to have absolute control over the lives of
mankind.
Bill Maher had the right solution. It is to stand on the principles
that made possible the accomplishments of true liberalism. His words:
"No, we are better. Free speech - better. Women's rights - better."
In a true democracy, people will be offended. Anything that is
meaningful is controversial; and anything that is controversial is
going to offend somebody. To adopt as standard that nobody should
offend anyone, is to destroy democracy and replace it with effective
totalitarianism. And that, is a complete betrayal of liberalism and
everything for which it stands.
The politically correct are traitors to liberalism. As such,
liberalism deserves better. The correct response to the politically
correct is: "You have betrayed me. You do not speak for me. And I will
not listen to you either."
Perhaps baby boomers grew older and decided that they no longer want
what they wanted when they were younger. But have baby boomers
considered that they are not the only people in the world, and that
there are other people in it, including people who are younger and
have different needs. The baby boomers have allowed themselves social
and sexual freedom when they were younger; our generation should have
those as well. And if the baby boomer liberals have turned into
spineless fascists, then it is up to us to fight the threats to the
virtues for which they once stood - the virtue of meaningful freedom
and social liberties - and which are the true reason for West's
superiority to the hell that Islamic creeps who claim to be morally
righteous and then rape women in countries that have the generosity to
open their borders to them.
If the Left does not come to the defense of these virtues - the
virtues that are among the Left's greatest historic accomplishments -
then there's more power to the right-wingers who then will use the
power they gain from defending the West to impose upon the West their
controlling, suffocating agenda. So this is the call to all those who
hold freedom dear: Stand up for the Liberalism's true accomplishment
that is social freedom against all enemies of social freedom, and win
freedom for yourselves and those who are yet to come.
