WHERE COULD THE CALCIUM AND POTASSIUM BE FOUND OTHER THAN DAIRY ?
-
Potasium is in Orange Juice and bananas. Calcium added OJ would also
add
the potassium.
Also, check out: http://www.health.gov/dietaryguidelines/dga2005/document/html/appendixb.htm
The above website lists a variety of sources for all nutrients,
including calcium and potassium.
Some alternative sources for calcium are: Fortified cereals, tofu, soy
beverages, spinach, canned salmon with bones, sardines, and oatmeal.
Some alternative sources for potassium are: Sweet potatoes, white
potatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, tomato juice, prune juice,
carrot juice, dried peaches, dried apricots, and cantaloupe.
(These lists are just some of the examples. Go to the site weblinked
above for a more complete list).
That said, Dvora should of course follow her doctor's instructions and
not make her health decisions on the basis of what she reads on SCJM.
