Incidentally Longshanks Edward 1, from Braveheart was the same Norman
king who expelled the Jews from England.
However that aside I still make no claim that my family was anywhere
near England in the 12/13 century.
In any case my sympathies are for the conquered Saxons rather than the
invading Normans.

Good for you. How far does that sympathy extend? Are you willing to
abandon your home for the Saxons?
