The "left" is older than socialism, although it embraced
that vigorously. Its problem is hyperegalitarianism; it
assumes people have essentially equal mental abilities.

That the main overiding prolem with society is unequal control of the
means of production, resolve that & other issues that are dependant on
this relationship will either be solved or be much easier to resolve.
picking away at the edges is a distraction.
Instead of negatively concentating on israel. unionize & organize
Civilization essentially started with a class of
individuals who took leadership positions involving risk.
Caravan masters and merchants, and later shipbuilders and
others who used their abilities and capital, including
borrowed, to do more than they could as isolated
individuals.

This is true now. Our slow progress in space is due to
governments not allowing individuals who believe in it
to pool their resources and get going.

The problem isnt with free enterprise par se.. Lenin recognized this
when he tried to ease some of the restrictions imposed on the kulacks
& entrepreneurs , because the measures were harming production. just
before he was assassinated & Stalin seized power.
The problem is a small privileged section of society keeping too much
of the proceeds at the expense of the rest of humanity. The pace of
the space race at all, at the moment is a disgrace while children are
still dying from malaria in africa.

I suggest that among your other readings, you pick up a book written about 60 years ago. It is "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Then ask yourself "Where is John Galt".
