Distorted in what way? I thought both were the hexagram, more precisely,
when made of two interlaced triangles (and for the truly pedantic:
with the handedness that the bottom crossbar is over then under the
crossing diagonals).
Distorted in that the apex of one triangle is near the
base of the other, rather than the vertices being
equally spaced.
BTW, the Masonic version of the Seal of Solomon is exactly the Magein
David.
