Maybe you should read your links before you post them. The AP alarmism
link you posted above makes a total mockery of people who are
advocating these domestic terror conspiracy theories. In fact, the
author of the article (Warner Huston) demonstrates that historically
speaking, there have been many times when racial hatred and conflict
were far worse than they are now. Specifically, he cites the time
frame surrounding the Holocaust and the heyday of the KKK in the
1950s.

He notes that (in the AP article) "Professor Carol Swain, a professor
of political science and law at Vanderbilt University, is trundled out
to tell us, "I believe we are headed for an unprecedented level of
conflict and racial turmoil."

He states: "It shouldn't be surprising that Swain sees racists under
her bed, though. After all she wrote the book "The New White
Nationalism in America" so she has a vested interest in alarming
people enough about resurgent racism to go buy her book."

After some additional discussion, he concludes:

"But in a nation of 300 million people, the AP has but three cases to
point to as evidence of this "growing racist movement" in America. Not
very convincing."

The truth of the matter is that statistically speaking (and I read
this statistic this week), antisemitic incidents in the USA have
decreased this year (2009) compared to 2008.

Charlie Manson predicted Helter Skelter in the 1960s. We're still

I know, that is why I posted it.  That site is critical of the AP.
NewsBusters, a project of the Media Research Center (MRC), the leader
in documenting, exposing and neutralizing liberal media bias.

But already we have the left lining up to demand more gun control,
restrictions on free speech and the end of talk radio.  All based on
this one guy's actions (and maybe the killing of the abortion
doctor).  Leftists within the democrat party are using this as an
excuse to not only marginalize conservative but to so demonize them
that they will be the party in power for a 1000 years (I am stretching
the point).

BTW, you are old enough to have lived thru the '70s.  Did you never
heard of the Refusniks, the Jews who wanted out of the Soviet Union?
Prof Ruben had a Rabbi at Purdue who led the movement to get Jews out
of the Soviet Union.  It was so bad that one could be executed merely
for teaching your children Judaism (I know of several families where
that happened).  That was secularism at its max.
