The position, yclept the "Safe Schools" assistant secretary, also has
responsibility for assessing "safe sex" instruction in public school
systems. Many of the practices this activist advocates are not be
halachically permissable.
While I think people should be allowed do what they wish in their
bedrooms (civil rights vs religious doctrine), I think that promoting
this stuff to 12 year olds is disgusting.

Fact: many of these school children will engage in sex before the age of
15.
Question: Would you rather have them become pregnant of not? If you
say "they did it, let them suffer the consequences" then I ask would you
rather they abort or carry to term? If you say carry to term, then I
ask if you are willing to pay to support these children of children or
would you let these children of children starve?
The best solution, of course, would be for them not to have sex. Of
course, we could also ask the earth to revolve around its axis in twenty
hours and not twenty four.
The next best solution is to give them the knowledge and tools so that
they don't become pregnant in the first place.
Please explain homosexual fisting to your 12-year-old child or
grandchildren. That is just one of the practices this nominee
insisted on teaching schoolchildren in Massachusetts. Read the
link. Read the links within the link. Good for dieting.
------------
And what about heterosexual fisting? Nobody ever got pregnant or an
STD from fisting. And suppose a kid heard the word from his friends
and didn't know what it was? And then he asked the sex ed teacher. And
the teacher explained it. I don't see a problem. I would also like to
see evidence that the nominee "insisted" on "teaching about" fisting
to schoolchildren in Massachusetts. Maybe, if a kid asked about it,
the teacher should have responded that it's a disgusting, nonhalachic,
unbiblical practice, popular with "queers" and perverts, and the kid
should be ashamed of himself for having raised the question in the
first place. Yeah, that's what sex education should be all about.
And BTW, if one of my sons asked me what "fisting" was, I would tell
him. And I've also had to explain to both of my sons that
homosexuality is genetic and people are born that way, and that
(contrary to what they've been taught in their Jewish school), people
don't "turn gay" from reading pornography.

If it is genetic then wouldn't it be a "birth defect"?
----
No because a birth defect is an abnormality of structure, function, or
metabolism, which leads to a mental or physical disability or can be
fatal.
See: http://kidshealth.org/parent/system/ill/birth_defects.html#a_About_Bi...
Eventually, geneticists will be able to identify the "gay" genome and
turn it off, just as they will be able to turn on or turn off the
genomes for a host of other conditions.
And when that day comes (that the "gay" genome is identified), our
society will hopefully be able to free itself from all the myths and
superstition and hatred that constitutes homophobia. Hatemongers will
have to find some other group to obsess about and will no longer be
able to use the bible as an excuse to be hateful toward a group of
people who have done absolutely nothing to them and whose personal
lives and living arrangements do not impact on them at all. We will
finally be spared the lurid stories of homosexual pedophiles (sic) who
lurk around every street corner and hang out in parks hoping to snare
some hapless child and "turn him gay."
Best regards,
---Cindy S.-
The thing is we do not know whether it is genetic. If it is genetic
then we could identify it and abort the child before it is born.
Shame on you!
That is one of the most awful things I have read in a long time. If I
had been fortunate enough to give birth to a child who happened to be
gay, I would have treasured him/her. If I were to adopt a child, it
would never occur to me to ask about their sexuality. My friends and
relatives with gay children love them as they do their heterosexual
kids.
All of my loved ones enrich my life. I pity you, that you cannot allow
yourself to be fulfilled that same way.

When my father a'h died in 2001, my neighbor gave me a book that he
read when his father died, which helped him through his grief. And the
book helped me too. I will always be grateful to him for that small
act of kindness. Generally, my neighbor more or less keeps to himself,
but I often see him working in his yard and trying to make his garden
look nice. I think he has a partner, but I'm not even sure about that
because he's so very private. He has a friendly dog, though, a
gorgeous black lab, the sweetest dog you'd ever want to meet. The dog
comes out to greet everyone. My neighbor is moving to Florida soon.
I'll miss him a lot.
I have a dear friend from college who is a geriatric physician. He has
helped and given hope and friendship to countless numbers of elderly
people. He is the gentlest soul you would ever want to meet. My friend
also has a partner. they live together in a nice house. I'm not sure
what his partner does for a living, but I think he's some kind of
businessman. They have a nice life together, quiet, and they don't
bother anybody.
It is beyond my understanding that there are people in this world who
bear such animosity, such unimaginable hatred for people like the
above whom they've never met, who have never hurt them in any way, who
have never done anything to hurt anybody, who have committed no crime
other than trying to be kind and helpful to other people, that some
people wish other people such as the above could actually be
identified in utero so that they could be aborted and additionally
assumes that the rest of society ("we') share this view.
The torah condemns homosexual acts. It also condemns people who eat
nonkosher, people who violate shabbat, people who commit adultery etc
etc, yet I have never seen or heard anyone (in this day and age
anyway) suggest that shabbat violators or adulterers deserve to die.
And these same people are the first to express their horror at
voluntary assisted suicide and condemn doctors for not taking heroic
measures to prolong the lives of people who don't want their lives
prolonged.
But being born with an attraction to members of the same sex is a
crime so heinous that it completely supersedes anything else someone
may do with his life, any contribution he is able to make to society.
A homosexual inclination is so heinous that anyone who has this gene
should be identified and killed before he is born.
When I read stuff like this, I just want to cry.
Best regards,
---Cindy S.
