Unfortunately, that seems to be Shelly's "style". We have lost two
erudite posters because he doesn't mind hurting feelings.

Two?
Josh made, and reaffirmed, extremely bigoted statements. I called him
on it. It was absolutely the right thing to do. He decided to leave.
His choice. If it were just me, he could always have just ignored my
posts. I believe that he was truly embarrassed by the unanimous
response against HIS statements and that was why he left. Did I mind
"hurting his feelings" here? Not it the slightest. He said it. He
reaffirmed it. He deserved it.

Meir? He just said that he won't post in that thread in response to me.
His choice was because "it would further my being an apikoros". His
prerogative. I don't believe he said he would leave. Did I mind
hurting his feelings here? I did not attack him at all. I attacked a
vile practice. If he takes that personally, I can't help that. It was
an unfortunate byproduct of something that needed to be said. I wish he
could separate the topic from the person.

Besides, no one leaves because of ONE poster. That is nonsense. You
can always simply skip over that poster.

You missed Meir's point. I understood it, that if Torah can be
called "bullsh*t" he wants no part of such a NG.

I didn't call Torah that. I referred to ONE aspect of it. If he feels
that it is so totally unchallengable, there is little I can do about it.

Shelly, you and others have been "challenging" Torah for years. When
it's done with such language, it's not "challenge" anymore.
