OMG! I would consider this bonafide harassment. It sounds almost

I disagree with you, Cindy, about this being harassment.  There is no
threat there.  There is a simple statement of opinion "you might be more
comfortable elsewhere".  Same thing for a black family.  It may be rude
and insensitive, but it is neither harassment nor threat and I doubt
that it is illegal in any way.

It reflects badly on the rest of us Jews.

In the case of Don's mother, it doesn't reflect badly on the rest of
us Jews because Don's mother is Jewish herself. It reflects badly on
the black hatters (who are already resented by many non-O Jews). Don
has posted several times on SCJM (including in this thread) that his
mother feels that the black hatters in her neighborhood generally
ignore her and/or treat her rudely.

Of course not. Signs are generally only intended to be deterrents.
Maybe she would be better of with a "Beware of Dog" sign.
