The only overlap is between the upper income blacks
and lower income whites. so it looks like. there is more difference
between the groups than within them (though in your challenge to Rubin
("What you have to do .. is to show that there is more differences
between the groups than with-in them.") you did not indicate which
statistical measure you think should be used for such a difference).
How about this. Suppose you and Herman and Josh are right and Blacks
really are genetically inferior. What is your proposed societal
response?
The claim is that they are genetically inferior in the
direction of mental ability. They seem to do well in
physical directions. There are jobs for which high IQ
is a liability; routine jobs in particular do not work
for long with those whose brains are always "working".
The only reasonable societal response is to allow them to
compete on equal terms, with no attempt for proportional
success, which would be quotas. Teach the ones who can
only learn at a limited rate, or limited amounts, to the
extent of their abilities, and teach the bright ones to
the extent of their abilities.
We do not fully "redress" physical disabilities. Purdue
University is handicapped accessible, but not that well.
I know, I have physical handicaps. Do what can reasonably
be done, and do not attempt miracles.
We should be race and color blind in making the opportunities
available, but not all people are equally capable of taking
advantage of it. It would be a mistake to send someone like
Forest Gump to college.
