I think you miss the point.
Don't confuse disagreeing with the point you've tried to make with
missing the point.
I don't think that I did. I do think you do miss my point. The issue
was not/is not whether or not affirmative action is the right remedy
or whether or not a remedy is needed. That is a side issue. What is
relevant is that Josh brought up *both* the "Black House" an "Amos and
Andy". Then justifies this by saying that he has reason to dislike
Black people. I can't see how that is anything but an admission of
racism.
--Josh brought up his feelings about
affirmative action as an explanation for his racial joke. He was angry
about things done by (not really, but that is his view) blacks 40
years ago and so that is why it is OK to bring up Amos and Andy now.
So, yes, it was racist.
