If you want to avoid variant spellings, put -vareant and -veryant in
your search terms.
Of course this works not just for variant spellings and, it works not
just for google. I have a "favorite search" running in Ebay for the
last 8 months, where I'm trying to find a particular kli mayim
achromim, for rinsing fingers after the meal. I got lots of emails
from them saying that one was listed, but most were books. So I
included -book in the search. Then I still got a lot but they were
all silver, so I included -silver. So now I get few hits, but at
least I'm not bothered by all those bad hits.
BTW, I'm looking for one shaped like a boat, with two posts holding a
ewer of water, with a button on the bottom that one pushed to let the
water out. Specifically I want a bluish ceramic covered metal set,
like what was a popular export from Israel in the 60's.
If you know of anything like this, please let me know. it's for a
present for friends of mine.
All I can tell you is that I've seen such a contraption. :-)
