Can he do it?

In a half-page ad in the 5 Towns Jewish Times (Lawrence, Long Island),
Hagaon Harav Chaim Kanievsky appeals for contributions to a yeshiva for
"at-risk bachurim". In Harav's words, "Whoever supports this cause of
hatzalas nefashos, I promise him great success in his livelihood. The
economic crisis that is currently being felt all over the world will not
cause any harm or damage to the interests of those who donate to the camp,
which will save these bachurim from spiritual deterioration."
Can he do it? Why doesn't Merrill Lynch contribute and end their worries? I
wonder how much success a contribution of "chai" will bring.
