Sorry you are havign hand problems. I hope they sort themselves out soon.
As to bad typing and not finding the mistakes, don't worry. I am the
champion in that area. vision problems cause it fo rme as well as havign
a very clumsey spellchecker and not beign a good typist to begin with.

This lysdexic hasn't noticed problems in postings from either of you.

'Twas a time, in the early days of net.religion.jewish that half of our
posts were in a language very similar to the one now familiar to our
teenage [grand-]children from their IM and text messaging.

The standard acronyms, such as IMHO, OTOH, BTW, IIRC, O, C, R,
CYL[O]R, etc.. date back to that period. But email also used "2day",
"r", "u".... It was the early 80s, and the masses weren't expected to
know how to type. Pointing out spelling or typing errors were branded
a breach of nettiquette.

It still is, but many now seem to ignore it (along with such travesties
as ignoring the 3-to-5-line .sig rule, sending HTML in news or email posts,
and the like). Personally, I think it comes with the shifting attitude
that the Internet is now some sort of public pool that everyone can <ahem>
in but that someone else will clean up, rather than a collection of
privately owned and funded networks that communicate via shared rules
and collective goodwill.
