I don't particularly care what it's called. Just that it's called the
same thing, with the same rights and benefits, in the eyes of the secular
state. Saying "the state should get out of the marriage business" is
a bit stark as a public statement, but I would agree with it.

Ah, but it's the _calling_ it the same thing, that makes it so
problematic.
