The reason why I speak so highly of women on this newsgroup, is that
they have overcome it. But not only that. They are greater than many of
the men here, even greater than some of the orthodox men. I have a very
deep admiration for the women here and what they have acheived. If they
had just managed to post to usenet, I would be impressed enough, but
they make up some of the best here.  Not necessarily intellectually...
But morally. And in sanity. And some of the worst here are men, not
women.

That paragraph is reminiscent of Dubya's off-the-cuff speeches.

I am somewhat confused by some of the rhetoric, though. Are we to assume
that Orthodox men are "greater" than other men, but still not as "great" as
some women?

And why are we to assume that "posting to Usenet" is a notable achievement
for a woman? Some of the dumbest teenagers post to the Usenet while texting
and listening to iPods -- all the while eating junk food.

Of course, the women who post here may be intellectually "some of the best";
but their physical frailty and obligations at home in the kitchen make it
impossible for them to make up some of the best. It is amazing, though, how
many of these female creatures are smarter than even their Orthodox
husbands. Or so it seems.

Some of the "worst" here are men, not women? What about the rest of the
women? Oh, of course, they are "greater".

Leon, whose greatness is not as great as some of the women here, who are
greater than even Orthodox men, whose greatness is difficult to exceed. Or
did I get the syntax wrong? Please, no e-mail in response. I have a headache
from this one.

And what could we say about my aunt - the one with the advanced degree
in math, who taught computer science? She is married to a professor of
math! Can you imagine the intellectual struggle between the two: "You
are so great." "Oh, no, it is you who is greater." "But I insist that
you are the greatest!"

Susan Silberstein-

Poor man. Married to a woman that initiates elaborate recursive loops
into her nagging.

He'll need another computer science wife find the base case to get her
to stop.

Though the last person I heard say he needed another wife was Prince
Charles.
