Consider Obama defense adviser General McPeak, who states publicly
that Israel should be reduced to indefensible dimensions, and that
Jews should not have the same right to vote as other Americans. Will
he be secretary of defense if Obama is elected?
Consider former (and presumably future) Obama foreign policy adviser
Samantha Power, who advocates the destruction of Israel through
massive Arab immigration. Will she be secretary of state, or national
security adviser?
Consider Obama himself, who told a Jewish group in Cleveland that just
because he's not "pro-Likud" doesn't mean he's not "pro-Israel".
. What
are his objections to the Likud's policies, specifically? Likud is a
long time mainstream party. It is hard to conclude anything but that
he objects to Jews defending themselves, and if the Israeli voters
elect Likud, he will punish Israel.
Consider the best case scenario - that all the obvious indications are
wrong & that Obama will not support the Arabs' murderous intentions.
He is still not qualified for the job. We have had an unqualified
individual in that job for over 7 years, with ugly results, & we don't
need that again.
Consider John McCain, who has a strong, over two-decade long, record
of support for Israel in the Senate, and, unlike Obama, is not
inclined to allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons & use them on Israel
or give them to Hezbollah.
<And yet the polls presently show 61% of American Jews favor Obama.
<Why? Do we not care about the lives of our relatives in Israel? At
<least, one would think that when we see our fellow Jews tied to the
<tracks with the train coming, we would help them escape, particularly
<when we're only 10 feet farther down the rails. Because if our vote
<for Obama does result in the genocide of the Jews of Israel, don't
<think the Arabs will stop there or that there won't be a return of
<"Wandering Jew" theology among Christians, & we complacent Jews in the
<U.S. will pay the price.
<For those of us who love to vote Democrat, as a matter of tradition,
<there is no reason we can't do that. We can vote Democrat for
<Congress, governor, county executive, school board, even, depending on
<the candidate, for president in 2012, probably. There's no danger to
<that. But grasp the obvious - Obama is not our friend, and President
<of the United States is an office in which we desperately need one.
