Seems to be the Oh I am looking for.
I think many Americans would pronounce the O in "dog" like that, as
long (hey--how about "long"?) as they're not southern Americans. Or
New Yorkers. Or Baltimore/Philadelphians. Or.. oh, forget it.
That's more of an old-style qawmatz than a cholam.
