That's actually a good point. Back when I owned the bicycle store, it
had been named "Jerry's Bike Center" by the original owner, who sold
it to the folks from whom I bought it. As I discovered, the same
people who kept calling me Jerry had called both the original owner
and the subsequent one "Jerry." The funny part was that when I
wasn't there, some folks would come in and tell my employees that they
were "friends of Jerry" and had been okay'd for a discount... My
assistant would usually just tell them that if they were friends of
mine, they'd know my name wasn't Jerry...
Bottom line, Craig, is that you'd better get used to being called
Pete. :-)
