Some stores still have them left over from last year?????? No thanks.

How can you tell the difference between last year's and this years
anyway?

-----
By reading what it says on the box. "Produced for Pesach 2008." Since even
the "fresh" stuff was produced months or maybe a year earlier, reading the
box is the only way to know.

I just uncovered a container of (unopened) macaroons, and searched
desparately for a date. Big hechsher, but no date (at all - not even
a "best by" date).

As for Tam-Tams and the like, to me the difference between this year's
and last year's is like the difference between fresh cardboard and stale
cardboard: by that point, it really doesn't matter.

Once again you all are dumping on matza products. Dunno about
Tam-Tams, but there is definitely a difference in hand-made matza.
Fresh: crunchy and kids like it. Last year's: not so crunchy (it's so
dry as to be highly hydroscopic), kids don't like it so much.
