responses, or what? In other fora, I've occasionally responded to
posts that were several years old. None of us have a right to
unilaterally declare that a discussion is over or that a thread is
closed.
No at all, Eliyahu,
I have never declared a Usenet thread closed in my cyberlife.
I just had informed him that I had pesonally declared that I would not go
on responding in that thread, and that he responded on a 9 days earlier
earlier posting of that same thread, ... on which information to him he
responded 26 days later.
If you think "... writes mm 26 days later." is imposing, I cannot agree
with you, as you are surmizing things hat are not there.
I never imposed anything on anyone on usenet, I would not even be able to
do so, as I do not own usenet. Usenet is a fine example of freedom of
choice and expression.
btw: critisizing is part of that freedom. And sometimes I do not want to be
part of a discussion [any more], or do expect certain standards to be
maintained on usenet in general, like not topposting, or personal, but that
cannot be called imposing for the above reason.
