Old habits die hard, though. If you had to bet who would start the
next World War (not necessarily when) I think Germany would be an
odds-on favourite.
That's absurd. The vast majority of Germans are so wary of militarism
and nationalism that it took them until the 2006 World Cup to start
feeling it was OK to wave a flag about.
And now they feel comfortable waving a flag about, what comes next?
It's only been 60+ years since the last one. What was it George
Santayana said about those who do not remember history?
