A political party intends to concentrate on issues while one candidate
in the other party conducts push polls reminding primary voters of her
opponents middle name. Smart politics by the party concentrating on
the issues. Suicide by the candidate conducting the push poll smear
campaign, IMHO.

Of course Hillary Clinton is conducting no such "push polls." That's a
longstanding Republic Party tactic. Bush used it himself on McCain in 2000.

The Republic Party is not concentrating on issues. They have no issues
except to continue the failed and corrupt policies of Cheney/Bush and to
prevent any attempt to reestablish the rule of law in this country.

Here is a link to how the "party of issues" is attempting to frighten people
through the use of Obama's middle name:

This year we have a choice between those who support the Constitution and
those who support continuing the "president as above the law" policies of
the incumbent, a choice between those who believe in tolerance and religious
freedom and those who would use the government to support an extremist
strain of intolerance that even most Christians reject.

I used to be a Republican. There was a time when there was a proud liberal
tradition in the GOP. That time is long past. The Republic party is an
extremist group that, quite simply, is not good for the Jews: it is
intolerant, it is divisive, it supports actions which harm Israel, it is
against religious freedom and diversity and the separation of church and
state, it is, ultimately, un-American.

This is the year the Republics need to be slapped down hard and reminded
that their extremism is way out of line with American common sense. Perhaps
the grownups can regain control of their party. The present leadership,
however, is so far out that all Americans, including American Jews, should
be uncomfortable being associated with them. A McCain presidency would NOT
be "good for the Jews" and would lead to America being further diminished
and isolated in the world.
