A bunch of women came up with the idea of wearing burkas. The rabbis are
consistently against. It is a very illuminating example. One theory from
an email list that I run is that it's a condition related to anorexia -
body control issues.
But my point wasn't whether or not such behavior is correct. I would
not think it necessary to remove pictures of cabinet members doing their
jobs just because they're women. I was defending the sanity of the idea;
that setting a general policy is the only way to handle such issues.
"Sane but unnecessary" is the closest I can get to agreement.
