The Temple Institute in Jerusalem announces the completion of the
Tzitz, the High Priest's headplate - now ready for use in the Holy
Temple.
The tzitz is made of pure gold, was fashioned over the course of a
more than a year by the craftsmen of the Temple Institute, and is
ready to be worn by the High Priest in the rebuilt Holy Temple in
Jerusalem.
The words "Holy for G-d" are engraved on the headplate, in accordance
with Exodus 28:36. A short video clip presenting the tzitz can be
viewed here.
Rabbi Chaim Richman, International Director of the Temple Institute,
explained to Arutz-7 that until it can actually be used, the tzitz
will be on view in the Institute's permanent exhibition display,
together with other vessels and priestly garments fashioned for use in
the Holy Temple by the Institute.................

The menorah that has been in the Cardo, I think at least since I was
last here 17 years ago, was gilded with gold in the last few days,
pending its being moved from the Cardo to a glass bubble almost at the
top of the stairs at the right end of the plaza, near Aish HaTorah.
I saw this menora. I am unable to gues what its purpose might be.
Certainly not for actual use in the Temple. I am shocked that the
Temple Institute people, who have done so much research on the Temple
objects, would comit so glaring an error. This menora has branches
that curve upward is circular quadrants. Patterned, apparently, after
the menora depicted on Titus's Arch in Rome. But the Menora in the
temple has straight branches, rising diagonally from the middle.
Yaacovachi, please back me up on this one.
I am amazed that the State of Israel, which deems itself the
"beginning of the sprouting of our redemption" takes as its State
symbol and coat of arms an object depicted on a Roman arch with the
caption the "Jews Are in Captivity", and that this Temple Institute
would wish to place such an object in the restored Temple. I wonder
how many other objects they have researched and constructed at great
expense are similarly flawed.
The tzitz can probably be made on size to fit all. But the other
priestly garments must be made to fit a kohen properly, else they are
unfit for use, and the sacrificial service performed by a kohen
wearing ill fitting vestements is an invalid service. Has the Temple
Institute researched the matter so carefully that they can predict th
ewaiste girth, chest girth, torso height, leg height, and sleeve
length of the kohen?
