Even boors have a right to freedom of expression.

But one needn't constantly assert and exercise those rights... After
all, they also have a right to remain silent. (Which brings to mind
some of our legal clients who, while they clearly have the right to
remain silent when confronted by police, apparently lack the ability
to so so.)

And as one Israeli RIGHTWING commentator pointed out, democracy is
not about a majority, but about the rights of the minority. And a
minority should not be allowed to stamp out the rights of the
majority.

I don't follow. It seems that here, the majority want to observe a
minute of silence. Since a minority did not, their team is being
punished. Sounds like stamping out the right of that minority.
But what do I know.
