What he doesn't understand despite repeated admonitions and
explanations is that he doesn't have any innate "right" to do it here.
It's called "topicality". That's why there are newsgroups such as
nyc.politics, ny.general, nyc.general and nyc.food for people who want
to obsess with NYC, and he's welcome to rant there as long as he
likes. Most are unmoderated, which means he can go on forever there --
or until his fellow New Yorkers rise up and bludgeon him with his own
keyboard... The focus of this group is Judaism and Jewish culture, not
aspects of NYC that happen to have some sort of connection with Jews.
