To the best of my knowledge, the story was ignored by almost everyone
else, as it should have been.

There was a report by the BBC, not surprisingly, as well as other British
outlets. And of course it was widely reported in Israel, but that's
understandable, and with more of the context.

It was certainly not ignored by all the crazies, as a quick google
will indicate.

The fact that it was reported at all only proves the point of
those of us who notice a strong anti-Israeli bias to the news
in general.

The media is huge and growing. The fact that one newspaper in Britain, one with a reputation for being weirdly political, covers a story does not mean all, or even most, or even many of the media are anti-israel. It means they are. The story was garbage, was treated as garbage by most of the press. I learned about it here.
