This was a really stupid thing to say.

Don't complain to me. If you think this is stupid you can direct your
complaint to Rashi and to the rabbis of the Talmudh whom he quotes. I
will take Jewish stupidity over goyish 'wisdom' any day.

I can see no evidence that there is even as much Edomite
ancestry in the peoples of other nations as there is Jewish
ancestry. Furthermore, the Edomites were NOT among the
excluded peoples for intermarriage, and during the Hasmonean
rule the Edomites had to convert or leave. There is nothing
in the Tanakh or Jewish history to read Esau as anti-Jewish.

The rabbis made the bumbling incompetent, but basically good,
Esau into an evil character. Or is this Pharisaic bias
against the rule of Herod, of Edomite ancestry?

It is not the text of the old Latin mass that causes anti-Semitism. It
was anti-Semitism that caused this clause to ve put into the text of
the mass.

This is quite possible. The Council of Nicea sought to make
it impossible to be both a Jew and a Christian.
