I'd bet that long before Islam, whether countries or immigrants, can do
much, China will have reclaimed its historical position as first among
the nations. The ongoing economic development of China[1] seems a lot
more reliable than the demographic trends of radical Islam in the face
of secularism (which has had a rather good track record of seducing
people away, and in the sources I've seen is doing a rather better job
in Europe than is commonly recognized). Also a lot more immediate.
That or a robotic revolution coming out of Japan will change the rules
of the game for all humanity. You want to talk about demographics,
think about intelligent machines rolling off assembly lines like cars.

been slower to develop.
