Speak for yourself. I'm off to Shacharit service in a half an hour.
They offer breakfast ? :-) Seriously, there was a certain O shul that had
"weak" attendance at Shacharit services until 2 elderly women offered to
prepare a lavish breakfast every morning (scrambled eggs, herring, cereal,
vegetables, rolls, butter, coffee, tea). It became S.R.O. (standing room
only).
On most weekdays we have bagels, cream cheese, juice and coffee. If someone
is observing a yahrzeit or the end of their 11 months, they might bring in
lox and herring platters. Today being a US holiday the service started an
hour later and there was no breakfast.
