Absolutely right, John. Thank goodness the Jews of Germany rose up and
threw Hitler out of office in '38. Can you imagine the consequences if
we had sat idly by?

Remember what happened after 1967. We had relative peace because they
KNEW Israel would and could take out any problems.
Are you sure about this? Wasn't there some business about five years
later, a much nearer run thing?
Or, as Tom Lehrer said in his song about the proposed Multilateral
Force, re German militarism, "We taught them a lesson in 1918, and
they've hardly bothered us since then..."
