)|( = 45 = 63

Now that is indeed a hiddush. I do not know what )|( is meant to
indicate. But 45 and 63, though related, are not equal. 45 represents
God's Four-Letter Name as spelled out bemilui alphin, while 63
represents the selfsame Name spelled out bemilui Yodhin. To those who
are acquainted with ought of the Qabbala, these two Names refer to
quite different aspects of our perception of the Godhead. Perhaps if
you explained the symbol )|(, the asserted equivalency og 45 and 63
would become apparent, as would the connexion between this Qabbalistic
nuance and the Hudna.

Well, consider today's installment, and think of what that initial
symbol (sort of) looks like:

)|( = 46 = 64

I remain in the dark. Since with the updating of the calendar you
updated 45 to 46, I understand that the first number is the current day
of the 'omer. But on no account can I imagine what the symbol is
supposed to look like, nor the stated equivalency of the 'omer count to
a number 18 greater than itself. I surrender, and beg to be informed,
by email if you do not wish to post in public.

PS: Very impressed by the gematria, by the way...

Impressed? With whom? With me? I hope you do not think this gematria is
my own hiddush. M"H and S"G are among the common Shemoth discussed at
even an elementary level of Qabbala. And I have to confess that it was
not until about 30 years after I came across it that I first figured
how the number 63 could refer to any expansion of the Four-Letter Name.
M"H = 45 = Adam = the Shem bemilui Alphin, focussing on the faculty of
hokhMaH is fairly simple, as is B"N = 52 = beheimah = the Shem bemilui
hehin, focussing on the faculty of BiNah. But as for S"G, it would take
me three decades to decode its import. Quite straighforward once you
know the solution.

Not that profound, I'm afraid, but I hope you enjoy the riddle, and its
solution...

Apparently more profound than you think. Given my age at present, I am
reluctant to wait three decades until I can decode it myself. Please to
supply the solution now.

Gershon Eliyahu
who should have quoted the aphorism in its entirety: Torah hi wulilmodh
ani sarikh, *weda'ati qesarah*

OK, perhaps not so qesara. It took me 30 minutes, far less than 30
years, to figure that the 46th day of 'omer = 6 weeks and 4 days. So
please just decipher the )|( for me. The only thing I can think of is a
vertical smile, but I do not think that is what you mean. For those who
do not know what a vertical smile is, they will just have to remain
behind.
