You forgot the most important thing, you will have to upgrade you machineOk, I know some people round here think Bill Gates is the next best
with an extra 20 gig harddrive and 1gig of RAM before you can install it
despite what the system requirements on the box say.
No, Fiona, I have an (R) machine: It has tremendous untapped potential,
boundless reserves,
and has been hardly used. The (C) machine in my office lacks a proper user
interface: It has only a command-line interpreter.
However, Chabad is sending over a new PC to host the Talmud application: It
doesn't work very well on the new PC, but it spreads
rapidly to other PC's, offering them a low cost-alternative to interfacing
with their old networks. I was unhappy about it, but I got a Breslover
application, which taught me to be happy with my situation.
And each subsequent
software upgrade will require a similar new hardware config for the ever
expanding directory structure - more like the tree of strife than etz
haim.
And that's before you have to suffer those annoying little automated bots
MS
likes so much - like the pop-up Yeshiva Mashgiah "Oy, a blatt gemoro you
are
learning?" The last thing we need right now is paperclip with peyot!
