Not to compare the US to Israel, but there are those of us who do hold both
countries to higher standards. Israel should retain a united Jerusalem
because under Jewish rule we can be assured that ALL religious shrines will
be protected. Arabs can thrive in freedom under Israeli rule. It's been
many centuries since Jews could be assured of the same under a Muslim
regime.

It's the same reason many of us are disgusted with Bush and his minions for
the horrors of al Ghraib (sp?) and Guatanamo. The United States is not
supposed to act like a third world dictator. The everyone else does it
defense doesn't hold water.
