the general public to come see director Jun Ichikawa present his film
"Tony Takitani" and participate in a discussion afterwards at Bard

Bard College and the Department of Languages and Literature are proud
to welcome the acclaimed Japanese director Jun Ichikawa to Bard to
present his film "Tony Takitani" as part of the 2007 Japanese
Literature in Film Series being held at Bard College from April 25 to
May 4. Jun Ichikawa, whose work has been screened and awarded prizes
at prestigious film festivals around the world such as the Berlin
International Film Festival and the Montreal World Film Festival, will
introduce his film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's short story "Tony
Takitani" and discuss the film afterwards. We invite all interested
persons to come take advantage of this rare opportunity to interact
with one of Japan's most important directors and explore his work
further.
