1. Some 16 people were killed in heavy rainstorms and floods in
southern Iran on Tuesday night, the official IRNA news agency reported
on Wednesday.

Some 11 people were killed in Bazoft district in southern province
of Chahalmahal va Bakhtiyari, provincial natural disaster headquarters
official Sattar Farhadi told IRNA.

In nearby Lebed village, a mother and her daughter were killed by
the flood while 50 houses were destroyed, Farhadi said, adding that
five fish farms in Bazoft were destroyed by flood which also killed
1,030 cattles and damaged 300 acres of paddy fields in the district.

According to IRNA, heavy rainstorm also killed 3 people and
injured another 4 in southwestern province of Khuzestan's cities of
Ahvaz and Gatvand.

The storm which was blowing with a speed of 90 km per hour would
