ISLAM'S INTOLERANCE

"The Islamic Higher Committee and Dar al-Fatwa jointly condemned
yesterday the Israeli decision to close the Ibrahimi mosque for two
days under the pretext of enabling the Israeli settlers to practice
their religious traditions on the occasion of Passover in the mosque."

"The Ibrahimi mosque is strictly for Muslims. The changes that Israel
made to the mosque do not alter its standing as a pure Islamic
place." "Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, the President of the Committee and the
Speaker of al-Aqsa Mosque, assured that this comes under the larger,
systematic program which carries out continuous violations on Islamic
holy sites, enflaming Muslim feelings throughout the world."

The whole truth is that Israel closes the site to Jewish worshippers
on Muslim holy days (IMRA, 4/5). The temporary, annual closings to
Muslims is not based on a mere pretext.

Islam appropriates for itself conquered people's holy sites. In this
case, the Jews returned. What the Muslims call the Ibrahimi mosque
had been the Jews' Cave of the Patriarchs for about 2,000 years before
Islam was founded. The Muslims claim to be "systematically"
persecuted, but that claim is part of their systematic propaganda.
This is an example of Islamic intolerance, deceit, and attempts to
rouse the rabble to war by falsely claiming to be offended
religiously. Their point is, how dare the Jews have their own
religion we are trying to humiliate. It is a lesson for us in the
West not to take seriously their complaints about cartoons or other
challenges to their arrogant sense of superiority. They are in a war
with us. We'll lose it unless we make war back.

MODERATES?

According to the Palestinian Media Watch, 70% of the P.A. Arabs do not
believe that the Jewish people is entitled to a state of its own
(IMRA).

Why do Israel's leaders have Arab statehood as their top priority?

Prof. Norman Finklestein is a nominal Jew who collaborates with neo-
Nazis. He endorses their calumny against the Jewish people from whom
he is descended, as if that legitimizes their infamy. A pseudo-
scholar, he never has had an article published in a peer-reviewed
journal and his book's facts, footnotes, and quotes are fake. He uses
the classroom to indoctrinate in hatred of Israel and the US. He has
been fired from other universities, and now DePaul University is
considering not granting him tenure. The Left calls that right-wing
censorship; Prof. Steven Plaut finds it an opportunity for academic
integrity (4/5).
