Significance of Not Disarming Hizbullah

SIGNIFICANCE OF NOT DISARMING HIZBULLAH 14422 - Shulman

WHY WAS 9/11 ALLOWED?

The terrorists had been attacking US targets for years. They were
known to intend to fly planes into US landmarks. The ones who
committed 9/11 were not well hidden. Officers in the field wanted to
stop them. The federal bureaucracy, however, acted too slowly to
reports of the threat (Mark Steyn, NY Sun, Op.-Ed.). Didn't think
of it as war.

SIGNIFICANCE OF NOT DISARMING HIZBULLAH

IMRA published reports that Lebanon pledged to repress Hizbullah
"activity" but did not pledge to disarm it. If Hizbullah were
disarmed, it would lose much of its power.
Hizbullah retains the arms to inhibit the Army of Lebanon. The
ceasefire does not promote peace but renewed war.

ISRAELI GOVERNMENT HAS NO SENSE OF TIMING

While a quarter of its men were recalled into the Lebanon war, a hamlet
in Judea-Samaria heard that government officials were on their way to
tear down its houses as a not officially approved community though it
is not illegal, either. The order was wrenched from Israel by the US.
Adverse publicity stayed its implementation for a week.

"Maariv" apologized to the community for alleging that it was
located on private Arab land. The community blames the newspaper for
calling it land thieves without having checked properly. The
community actually is within the bounds of a regular town and is
located on state land. The government had allocated land for it to
cultivate.

The newspaper, which is against Jewish settlement in Judea-Samaria,
concealed the origin of slain soldiers from those provinces in its
casualty lists identifying their towns. Ten percent of the fatalities
were from those provinces, a high proportion for such a small
population. Their patriotism should be recognized (IMRA, 8/17).

RELIGION OF PEACE?

"In an article in the Egyptian government daily Al-Ahram, Egyptian
Mufti Sheikh Dr. 'Ali Gum'a expressed his support of the resistance in
Lebanon and stated that the lies of the "Hebrew entity" expose "the
true and hideous face of the blood-suckers... who prepare [Passover]
matzos from human blood."

"All the Lebanese victims of the [Israeli] crimes were civilians, while
those killed on the enemy's [side] were all soldiers. This is reality
that speaks for itself, and not [empty] talk [that comes to] justify
[actions], and will later be exposed as lies..." (IMRA, 8/17.)

Most of the Lebanese wounded were guerrillas and civilians among them,
and almost all the rockets fired into Israel were fired at civilians.
The quotes are from a leader of Islam. Appeasement-minded Americans
who claim that Islam is a religion of peace that has been misunderstood
here are the ones who misunderstand its bloody origin and its
deceitfulness.
