should be ongoing and in the end the results should not even be
close.The
longer this goes on the one chance in hell Hizbulloh had will evaporate
even more. The rational countries should help but won't. The only
chance
of Israel losing is when Iran gets involved and one would hope US helps
at
that points.
The US is stretched to breaking point. If they have to commit any more
troops, they'll have to reintroduce conscription. Then watch the *** hit
the fan.<
The most powerful nation in history, with a population of 300 million
is "stretched to the breaking point." :)
Militarily, yes. They've no spare troops to send elsewhere. And don't forget
their debt is now standing at very clost to 10 Trillion dollars.
Israel today, with a
population of merely 5.5 million Jews is now fighting Hizbollah, which
is larger and better equipped than the entire Iraqi insurgency.
Yes they are. But can they sustain a long term war? Particularly if it
progresses beyond throwing missiles and artillery shells at each other? I
doubt it.
And those Jewish kids in the IDF are almost ALL conscripts! Or reserve
units, which like the US army reserves and national guard, are called
up.
Yes they are, which in itself is a very sad situation. If the Dubya attempts
to reintroduce conscription in the US, there will be huge objection to it. I
suspect you know that.
But Iraq is the first war that the US has used reserve and national
guard units in wartime in a major way. Can't even spare 6000 to guard
the US-Mexican border. For Israelis, being called away from jobs and
business to LITERALLY fight to guard their borders is, unfortunately,
part of every day life for the Jewish Israeli.
It is indeed very unfortunate. I seriously doubt Israel can sustain full on
war for an extended period. All their previous encounters have been very
short term affairs.
Oh, the Arab Israelis
are all home, doing their business as usual, which is quietly rooting
for Israel's defeat.
Silly little man you are.
