Murder Prediction

MURDER PREDICTION 14066 - Richard H.
Shulman

WHEN ARE CLERGYMEN NOT JUST CLERGYMEN?

The chief Corrections Dept. chaplain made false and inflammatory
statements about the President and Israel. He was suspended pending
investigation of his conduct's proprietary and civil service law.
The imam was unapologetic.

There were the usual reactions, or reports of them, that I find more
reflexive than reflective. A lawyer formerly of the Civil Liberties
Union will defend the imam on the grounds of free speech. Clergymen of
other faiths upheld the defendant because they "know" he is a
decent person or because they admire him for speaking "the truth."

The inflammatory statements were defamatory. Therefore the imam is not
a decent person. It is apparent that he is an Islamist. As Daniel
Pipes has made clear to those who didn't already perceive it,
Islamism (or Islam) carries on its struggle for world dominance
deceptively. Islamists pose as moderates with infidels, but are
Islamists with Muslims. The non-Muslim clergymen are naïve. Their
naivete is understandable in a society that is under assault but has
not geared itself up emotionally for world war.

This imam reflects a broader aspect of that war. Imams on government
payroll are abusing their positions to pursue that war in prisons.
They convert violent felons and channel their violence against the
West. Mr. Padilla, for example, was converted in prison. When he got
out, he went to battle US troops fighting the jihadists. Did the imam
take the job to comfort his flock or to proselytize the infidels?

Deposing such imams is a matter of defense in war, not a matter of free
speech. We need to have better ways of detecting Islamists among the
chaplains, if we allow chaplains at all.

TO BE MURDERED?

Do you think that the murderers of the Israeli Cabinet minister, whom
Israel abducted from a P.A. prison, will simply be imprisoned in
Israel. I don't. I predict that they will be murdered and their
deaths attributed to anything but the rogue Peres wing of the secret
service. They may know too much. They may know that they were primed
for the assassination of Min. Zeevi by the Israeli secret service. He
was threatening to take down the Sharon regime that was pursuing
Peres' policy of appeasement and bringing in Peres as Vice-PM. On
the other hand, the raiders could have killed them in the assault.

U.S. TOUTS DEMOCRACY, INTERFERES WITH IT

Hamas has been trying to coax Fatah into its regime, but is slow to set
one up. Rumor has it that the US asked Hamas to delay until after the
Israeli election, so that Israeli voters are more likely to pick the
Kadima party of greater appeasement. A Hamas regime challenge is to
stop Fatah gangs from protesting by armed assault and kidnapping.
