Hamas recognized Israel within '67 borders

Now that would be a interesting headline.

Can you imagine the new dilemas faced by everyone? If Hamas can be
brought around to make such a statement because it needs western
financing then Western countries cannot say 'No' anymore without being
seen as the hypocrites many often are when dealing with the
Palestinians. Other than a few countries all territory Israel has
taken over outside its 67 borders, especially for Jewish settlments are
seen as illegal (since they all were unilateral steps Israel took
without negotiation) and given that Israel has taken these over
unilaterally by force and during a war no one can tell Hamas that it
does not have to right to take these territories back by force just
like Israel took them in the first place. Whatever Israel can do
others can do as well. :-)

It will be very interesting from a political point of view to see how
the West will deal with such a dilemma when it eventually comes up as I
think it surely will. The Politics of the Middle East are always
riveting! :-D
