Has anybody here had this jab or know anybody who has. I've been called to
get it on Wednesday and I just don't feel right about it. I don't suffer
from paranoia but I have had consistent misgivings about the whole flu
scare. Are people getting this jab everywhere in the world? If most of us
survive this winter, are we still gonna be at risk next year? What are the
world stats for this so called pandemic? Ya know, just cos yer not paranoid
doesn't mean that there aren't people out to get ya!

I know two young folks who got swine flu. One - a young man in his
early 20's was extremely sick for two weeks and took days thereafter
to recover properly, the other a young woman in her early 30's with no
underlying condition I am aware of, but who ended up in hospital with
swine flu and pneumonia type complications.
At best, it is a very severe form of flu - at worst, it can kill you
or someone else. By getting vaccinated, you are protecting more than
yourself.
Go get that jab and be done with it.

I was going to get it anyway, there's no way my wife would allow me to not do so. I just don't feel good about it. I got the regular flu jab a few weeks ago plus a pneumonia vaccine. Both left me with quite sore and tired arms but that was all. The way I see it, we are constantly being bombarded with, to me, vague info about this swine flu. I would like to know more facts and stats. Is it something we are going to have to live with for years to come. I am more concerned about my granddaughter than myself and whatever the future holds for her. Thanks everybody who replied genuinely.
