Life is too short; can you write down one short paragraph with no
links to state the "clue" alluded to in the first post. Can you
just say what it is in a few clear sentences.- Hide quoted text -

=======================
I didn't write the original post, but I added those links which are
relevant to it.

In a short paragraph - the solar system did not always have its
present configuration and thousands of years ago other planets
repeatedly passed close to earth and destroyed the vegetation for a
generation. That alone was traumatic, but next our ancestors lapsed
into unbridled vampirism and cannibalism, leading on to permanent
inter-tribal war which continued down to this day, even though the
vegetation grew back and the earth again could sustain all its
inhabitants. The icons / symbols used in all religions are in fact
representations of images that appeared in the sky in ancient
times: the cross is the appearance of a rogue planet at a certain
distance from the earth; the virgin mary standing above a crescent
was a brief apparition caused by electrical and atmospheric
anomalies as the rogue planet passed by; Muslims use the crescent
by itself; similarly the 'Star of David;' similarly more obscure
images in South America, Africa etc. In Ireland, Cuchullain, Fionn
MacCuil, St Patrick.... plus the English king Arthur, Merlin,
Genevieve(?).... these were not men but images in the sky around
500 to 600 AD..... The ancient orgy of vampirism and cannibalism
set the scene for the societal values and interrelationships of
all civilisations that followed. The Christian 'communion'
ceremony has a powerful emotional impact because it resonates with
those recurring survivalist emergencies in which our ancestors had
to drink each other's blood and eat each others bodies to survive
for a time. If we don't remember our past, we don't know who and
what we are.

Thanks for spelling that out; I do not believe a single word of it.

The Blood of Christ? The Body of Christ? Anglicans, of course, have
always thought the Roman ceremony reeked of Cannibalism and
therefore preferred the Wine and Bread to be a representation only.

but thanks for the straight answer.
For one thing, we have had lots of famines, even in very recent
times. During famines, people die;
they are too knackered to eat each other.

Yes, but surely the main reason is lack of water rather than food.

No it isn't.

Such arrogance! Go see:

http://www.water.org.uk/home/water-for-health/medical-facts/adults

Food cannot be digested without water! The human body can only survive a
short time without water.

Tangent. You said the main reason people die in famines is due to
lack of water. Without water you die in a week (as that link points
out). Most of the images of suffering in famines on TV over the past
30 years are of people dying slowly over many weeks with swollen
bellies and shrivelled skin, due to lack of food. If they were dying
from thirst, they would be dead within days. The lack of food in the
first place may be due to drought but that is also a tangent. Are you
saying e.g. that the Irish famine was caused by lack of water?

Regarding
the rest, well there are indeed some pretty weird theories about
regarding Giants and fallen angels and such, so why not passing
planets?

What planets?  When exactly?

In the early stages of the earths making. The moon, after all, is the result
of a cosmic collision with one such planet. Did you go to school at all?
:-))

So; you are suggesting that these "myths" which supposedly endure in
human culture date back to the formation of the Earth and Moon? Can
you please explain then, how come humans (in fact life itself) did not
evolve until several billion years after that?

Had you bothered to read, the original poster has provided links. But here
are some more and ref giants:

The original links made no sense and I asked for clarification. You
have not clarified either.

I would really suggest that you search Google before indulging yourself in
myopic comment.
