My husband, Joseph Byrne, a native of County Louth, Ireland and a
legal resident of the U.S. has just lost his court battle fighting an
extradition request from Ireland. He will be extradited on or before
January 29, 2008 unless we can get the U.S. Secretary of State to stop
the order. I am trying to get more coverage of my husband's story,
especially since Ireland took ten years to initiate the extradition
after giving clearance for my husband to gain legal status here. We
reside in Pearl River, New York and have a five year old daughter,
Mairead.

Unfortunately, when the decision was rendered on November 29, 2007 we
were never informed of it. One of our attorneys accidentally found out
about it on January 2, 2008!! This seriously crippled the time we had
remaining to lobby the State Department. We are hoping the State
Department will do the right thing and give us this time back for our
defense.

A few months ago were were featured in the "Irish Voice" newspaper.
Another story will be out in that paper on Wednesday January 9, 2008.
We will also be in the "Irish Emigrant" on Monday, January 7, 2008. If
