Ok, Hines, leave out the Presidential part. He still had a mistress in the
service. The point of what I was explaining to Adam concerns the zero
press that these events engendered within their given time frame. Of
course, I could have said Jefferson, Cleveland, Wilson, Harding, and a
host of others...
What I've written above is common public knowledge that doesn't need
cites. That a big time historian such as yourself needs proof of such
events is the shame, but I'll give you the source anyway..

Yes, and this is all implicitly confirmed by historian Gil Troy, who
subtly hints that Ike, like Hines, took a keen interest in
interracial, AC/DC and even inter-species intercourse:
"For much of the three years he led the Allied forces during World War
II, Eisenhower lived in Telegraph Cottage, a villa south of London,
with a colorful cast of characters. The multiethnic crew included a
New York Irishman (Mickey McKeogh), a black valet (John Moaney), an
Irish driver (Kay Summersby) and a Scotty pup (Telek)."
"Eisenhower clearly took a shine to the wispy Kay Summersby" who is
described by this Trojan historian as vigorous, witty and - note well
- gay:

I particularly like the ironic reference to a general who said,
"Leave Kay and Ike alone. She's helping him win the war."
Troy, who is obviously a real joker with a delicious talent for sexual
innuendo, describes this as an attempt to "quiet down the gossip"!
Troy must be the envy of gutter journalists the world over for his
ability to say "there is no evidence" while leaving the reader firmly
convinced that "there is no smoke without fire".
It doesn't get any better than this.
