Most that goes for Irish Culture is really Celto-Roman culture. The
Celts came to Ireland just a few centures before the Romans came to the
British Isles. The Romans didn't come to Ireland until four or five
centures later. By that time, they had been infected by one of the
death cults of the Middle East. It took root in Ireland - mostly around
towns where the concept of 'soul' was useful for people living in
groups larger than 150 persons. Feachadoir knows this, but his
intellictual past is invested in Celtic Mythology. The famine wiped out
the the ancient culture. Well, most of it.
