However, I have to say that I'm not watching H&C

The American conservatives here have a huge blind spot when it comes
to backing Israel which is a total mystery to me...

I think I understand what he's saying...

to ensure security which in actual fact only give power to the few.

They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary
safety deserve neither liberty or safety. -Benjamin Franklin
With everything that´s happening at the moment including repressive
leglislation, street cameras, anti riot technology, invasion of privacy,
controlled government and a dumbed down population it´s only a matter of
time before some leader takes advantage of it and repeats history except
this time we won´t be able to do anything to stop it.
Any resistance will be routed out with far better intelligence methods than
ever before and put down before it can influence the wider public, even if
people do stand up they only have to pit one side of the population against
the other as unpatriotic or countless other methods of control.
It won´t happen yet but if it keeps on the rate it´s going it´ll be too late
to stop the utopia that I believe they sincerely believe themselves they are
trying to create, it won´t happen until it´s too late to reverse it.
It´s not paranoia when it´s happened countless times before especially when
the lessons from history haven´t been learned and even more so since they´re
using the same old tactics to foster war, politicains only care about power
and corporations only exist to make money, neither care about you, the
masses nor democracy. The utopia is not for you but it´s being sold that
way.
Democracy is the only thing that can save it because you can bet they´ve all
eyes on China which itself is becoming a massive coporate power but unlike
the US is not a democracy, you can´t get a worst combination and that system
will need to be supplied. They like Western governments will protect their
own interests and their economy is set to out grow the US, less people in
the world won´t bother this lot if it suits their purpose.
The democratic experiment has been a long time in the planning and as I´ve
said before they´re not about to do nothing and hand over power to
undemocratic middle east in the hope that they won´t blackmail them in the
future by cutting off supply and bankrupting the US within months if not
weeks.
Can imagine sitting at a table with neo-conservatives and top brass and
suggest `trusting´ other people like themselves and handing over power based
on nothing more than moral values? You´d never make the cabinet that´s for
sure but they might keep you onhand for amusement.
Got some other quotes for me?*Plenty and remember when people talk of this stuff some guy always comes
off with `well someone would say something´ well plenty have but are usually
ignored even when they see happening in front of their eyes and on their tv
screens just so they get a decent nights sleep.
And the people saying it aren´t loons in department store or workers in a
factory, these are people in a position to know.
The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by
those who are not behind the scenes.-Benjamin Disraeli, British Prime
Minister
The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise power from behind
the scenes-Justice Felix Frankfurter.
"Dissent is the highest form of patriotism" - Thomas Jefferson
" The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth
of private power to the point where it becomes stronger than the democratic
state itself. That in its essence is fascism - ownership of government by an
individual, by a group or any controlling private power. " President
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
"I am concerned for the security of our great nation; not so much because of
any threat from without, but because of the insideous forces working from
within." -- General Douglas MacArthur
"The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government which like a
giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states and nation."--
Mayor (1918-1925) John F. Hylan of New York
"Fifty men have run America, and that's a high figure." Father of JFK
"It's not the votes that count, it's who counts the votes."
-- Josef Stalin --
"The one who cannot see that on Earth a big endeavor is taking place,
an important plan, on which realization we are allowed to collaborate
as faithful servants, certainly has to be blind"
- Winston Churchill
If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of
their money, first by inflation and then by deflation, the banks and
corporations that will grow up around them (around the banks), will deprive
the people of their property until their children will wake up homeless on
the continent their fathers conquered.-Thomas Jefferson.
This Act (the Federal Reserve Act, Dec. 23rd 1913) establishes the most
gigantic trust on earth. When the President (Woodrow Wilson) signs the Bill,
the invisible government of the Monetary Power will be legalised... The
worst legislative crime of the ages is perpetrated by this banking and
currency Bill.
Charles Lindburg
*After signing the act Wilson said...
I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great
industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of
credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our
activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the
worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments
in the civilized world. No longer a government by free opinion, no longer a
government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a government by
the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.
*And also
The government, which was designed for the people, has got into the hands of
the bosses and their employers, the special interests. An invisible empire
has been set up above the forms of democracy
"Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me
privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the Field of
commerce and manufacture, are afraid of something. They know that there is a
power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so
complete, so pervasive, that they better not speak above their breath when
they speak in condemnation of it."
"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking
and monetary system, for if they did, I believe that there would be a
revolution before morning."-Henry Ford
Capital must protect itself in every way... Debts must be collected and
loans and mortgages foreclosed as soon as possible. When through a process
of law the common people have lost their homes, they will be more tractable
and more easily governed by the strong arm of the law applied by the central
power of leading financiers. People without homes will not quarrel with
their leaders. This is well known among our principle men now engaged in
forming an imperialism of capitalism to govern the world. By dividing the
people we can get them to expend their energies in fighting over questions
of no importance to us except as teachers of the common herd-J.P.Morgan
In politics, nothing happens by accident. If it happened, you can bet it was
planned that way.
The real truth of the matter is, as you and I know, that a financial element
in the large centers has owned the government of the U.S. since the days of
Andrew Jackson.-Roosevelt
"Today, America would be outraged if U.N. troops entered Los Angeles to
restore order [referring to the 1991 LA Riot]. Tomorrow they will be
grateful! This is especially true if they were told that there were an
outside threat from beyond [i.e., an "extraterrestrial" invasion], whether
real or *promulgated* [emphasis by original compiler], that threatened our
very existence. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead to
deliver them from this evil. The one thing every man fears is the unknown.
When presented with this *scenario*, individual rights will be willingly
relinquished for the guarantee of their well-being granted to them by the
World Government." -Henry Kissinger
National security advisor to Carter and part of the teams of Reagan and Bush
snr, Zbigniew Brzezinski wrote in 1997...
The key to America's control of the world in the 21st century is the control
of Eurasia. A power that dominates Eurasia would control two of the world's
three most advanced and economically productive regions and. about
three-fourths of the world's known energy resources. without an attack in
the order of PEARL HARBOR or without a direct external threat there is no
way the American people would support the imperial mobilization necessary to
control central Asia."
*And also
It is also a fact that America is too democratic at home to be autocratic
abroad. This limits the use of America's power, especially its capacity for
military intimidation
Four years before 911 a neo-conservative think tank emerged (Project for the
new american century) and produced a policy document and of the 25 that
signed it 16 were put into government.
Among them are *** Cheney, Donald Rumsfelt and Paul Wolfowitz, they
advocated global domination based on US policies, a stronger military,
nuclear weapons, a command of space and even specified Iraq as a target.
And it spelt out a problem.
"Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary
change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing
event - like a new Pearl Harbor."
Within 8 months of coming to power they got their wish, unless you believe
