Did you see the "Free Speech" allotted the American Nazi Party in Florida
recently? They wanted to hold a rally in mostly black area... There were
counter protesters there too... And the police beat them too...
You must have access to information that I don't have. I live in the
city where the march took place, and didn't hear a peep about police
beating anyone. The police got high marks for efficiency and
defusing the situation.
The parade was a fizzle and ended short of the route planned. There
were 300 police protecting both the marchers and the protesters. The
city of Orlando spent a great deal of money bringing in police from
agencies all over the state.
The police agencies, and the local media outlets, went to great
lengths to discourage people from attending the event. It worked,
too, since the crowd was far thinner than the ANP anticipated.
Most of the crowd was made up of residents of the immediate
neighborhood of the parade and delegations of the groups that assemble
whenever a camera is present. The local newspaper and local
television stations gave the event minor coverage. All-in-all, it
was - as it should have been - a non-event.
The only arrests made were spectators that were involved in
altercations with other spectators, but there were no serious
altercations. Fighting for face time on camera, probably.
The "rally" was an effort on the part of the ANP to get out a message
that most crime is a result of black-on-black crime with the
implication that if you get rid of the blacks that you will get rid of
crime. The result was that, once again, the ANP members looked the
fool.
